Cylch Meithrin Trawsfynydd was established over 50 years ago.

The Cylch is regularly inspected by ESTYN, Care Inspectorate Wales and Mudiad Ysgol Meithrin. We pride ourselves on the strong relationships we have built with parents and guardians over the years, and we have a strong tradition of providing high quality pre-school education.

We welcome the parents/guardians to be involved in all aspects of Cylch Meithrin Trawsfynydd's life, and appreciate their continuous support. We also work closely with the local Primary School (YsgolBro Hedd Wyn), joining them for activities and trips.

As parents, we are aware of how important it is for you to feel that you are choosing the best education for your child, and therefore your child will receive the best care and education at Cylch Meithrin Trawsfynydd. Welsh is the language of the Cylch Meithrin but we give all children a warm welcome, no matter the language spoken at home.

Our aim is to promote the education and development of children from two and a half years of age to school reception class age. Children have the opportunity to socialise and learn through play under the guidance of our professional, friendly and enthusiastic staff.

If you would like to discuss any aspect of our work please do not hesitate to contact us.

  • Anti Mary

    Leader

I'm Anti Mary, I've been the leader of the cylch meithrin since January 2022. I have worked in childcare since 2009. I have managed a number of settings from very large setting to small community playgroups in England up to 2020.

My family and I moved to Wales in October 2020. It was important for me to move that I embrace a new way of life and immerse myself in the local community and Welsh culture. I've been learning Welsh for almost two years.

The best part of my job is being able to spend time with the children and watch them develop into happy, capable young people.

  • Anti Meinir

    Cynorthwyydd

I was born and brought up in Trawsfynydd. I have been involved with the cylch since my sons attended in 2006, firstly as Treasurer and registered person then volunteering as helping hands before completing a level 3 Child Care, Learning and Development course in 2013 and getting an Assistant position.

Outside of the cylch I am a member of the Lliaws Cain singing party, and I love rehearsing, competing in Eisteddfodau and entertaining in communities across the county with them.

In the cylch I love being in the outside area with the children, whether it's playing in the mud kitchen, playing 'What time is it Mr Wolf' or experimenting with large construction equipment. I also like to sing rhymes to develop the children's language.

I have experience of dealing with Additional Learning Needs and know how important early intervention is if someone has any concerns.

  • Anti Awen

I'm Anti Awen, I've been an assistant in the cylch since September 2022 and I'm enjoying every moment of it. I studied a level 2 and 3 Health and Care course at Coleg Meirion Dwyfor in Dolgellau after being a pupil at Ysgol Y Moelwyn.

I am studying the Level 2 and 3 Play Care, Learning and Child Development course since April 2023 while continuing to work in the cylch.

I live in Blaenau Ffestiniog and enjoy spending time with my family and friends.

I am very creative and love helping the children with craft work in the cylch. I love spending time on the floor playing and chatting with her children.
